About this deal
The spaces, silences and pauses for breath apparent throughout the recording are all given due consideration too, and even though this song is generously overdubbed the IE600 present it as a lucid and consolidated whole. Only the top of the frequency range, which extends as gratifyingly far as it does at the other end, sounds the mildest of alarms – there’s an almost subliminal edginess to the way the Sennheiser serve up treble sounds. As far as this recording is concerned, the shine and wolfish bite aren’t problematic – but give the IE600 a toothy recording or attach them to an unsympathetic source of music and they could be. Power Struggle With ie600, the 's', 't' etc. in her voice are so damn prominent. With this song, I found the iems quite sibilant. With N3 and 846, this issue was not there.
About the IEMs- Can't fault these. In this world of wireless stuff, I wanted to have a look at the high end IEMs. While I own the Sennheiser's TW3 blutooth buds and totally appreciate the comfort and portabilty advantages of those, I can't stress how much resolution gets missed when the bluetooth buds are tuned to please the crowd by turning up the low and high frequecies and making then sound so musical! Choose between para-aramid reinforced unbalanced and balanced cables: 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm are included, 2.5 mm are sold separately. Two different styles of earbud tips — silicone and memory foam — are provided in three sizes to establish a comfortable seal in any ear. Flexible, adjustable ear hooks further enhance the long-lasting comfort. The IE 600 uses a detachable cable format which for the original IE 800 users is a bit of a godsend considering their former flagship had a fixed para-aramid reinforced cable design with a 3.5mm termination. The IE 800 S, however, did go some way to fixing that by making the cable detachable.
Is it the uniformity with which it capably reproduces music of all varieties, or do we only measure the peaks and ignore the troughs?During these two weeks, I haven’t used the IE600 exclusively as other things need to be reviewed, but I did find that, apart from the exclusive use for 4 or 5 days, that any time I felt like listening at other times of the day, I reached for the IE600. That is already something that goes to prove my very positive experience with these IEMs. They are not perfect, I will get into details in just a second, but I still feel that the overall sound of these IEMs is very very good.
The silicone tips that come with the IE 600 for some reason work better for me than with the IE 900. The result of silicone tips on the sound is that you get an increased level of clarity, a slightly less heavy bass presentation and more spicy and energetic treble. The tips also have an impact on the vocals, which now are more to the front and they have a less smooth but sharper delivery.
Should you buy the Sennheiser IE 600?
With the high-end IE 600 earplug model, Sennheiser ignores everything about wireless sound. Cable is the way to go to get the most out of your favourite music. That means you can perfect the sound to your own taste with your favourite amplifier, and it also means musicians can use the plugs on stage. But it’s music lovers first and foremost that Sennheiser has in mind with the IE 600. Ie600 played both fine. I don't know what to take from this. I have had those songs on my phone for so long n I never felt this way while listening with N3. I think, I will just say that ie600 needs better mastered songs to bring out the full potential (?) and are not very forgiving to rest. With this experience, I moved the comparison only to flac files.
