Even though we only got to tests the less at The Photography Show, we were able to test them on a pretty wide range of subjects considering we were inside an exhibition hall. I did sense a bit of mental magic where the photo-taking experience felt less like grabbing snapshots and placed me into a more artistic frame of mind. Since I’ve been using traditional-style cameras for the last 20 years, it does make some sense why I might be conditioned that way. I don’t want to over-emphasize that because you can get into the mood regardless of the device used to create images, but it made me more readily appreciate having the SnapGrip.Clear your cache. If you still find wireless charging pretty uncanny in itself, the ProGrip will amaze you even further. You have to align your phone’s charging pad with its counterpart on the ProGrip and there are instructions and an alignment template for this – though our iPhone 13 Pro Max is so large that it doesn’t really offer any scope for movement; the pads nevertheless line up fine.
The ShiftCam Progrip takes smartphone camera grips to a new level, adding security, ergonomics and even battery power
I haven't had this familiar feeling of using a phone grip for taking shots since the LG G6 camera module. That being said, the ergonomics made it really feel close to holding a DSLR camera. With the addition of a swing grip, wireless charging and let's not forget, acting as a stand as well really eases up things. While it does not completely eliminate the shakiness when taking shots, it lessens the struggle of pressing the shutter button of the phone camera due to the shutter button of the grip. The final lens in the MultiLens case is a 180 Degree Fisheye Lens. This lens will let you express your creativity however you’d like from a fun and unique perspective. Beyond this, the ProGrip's hand strap is well made and easy to resize using the built-in velcro. Use it to secure your iPhone during shots better. The Bluetooth shutter (at the front top right) is well positioned and makes it feel like you're using a traditional camera.
The ProLens has won many awards including the Reddot Design Award in 2018. For this award, Shiftcam competed with 6,300 other innovations from 59 different companies.
