I started with the RPM 0.4ohm with a 50/50 VG/PG mix at around 20w. This seemed to be the sweet spot for me in terms of wattage. Coil life was great, no complaints at all. I got around two weeks of life, with moderate – heavy vaping. Overall both pods are impressive, with great flavor and vapor production. But if I had to choose, I think I actually prefer the RPM 0.4ohm. There isn’t a huge difference in flavor and you get noticeably longer battery life.

The included RPM and RGC (conical) mesh coils are plug and play within their respective pod designs, both of which are also in the kit. So, you can swap them for fresh heads in a matter of seconds, and without an ounce of mess. But the good thing is that you won’t need to do this that often, since the included heads both lasted roughly two weeks of heavy use before needing to be swapped. The Smok RPM replacement vape coils are cross-compatible and can be used with a large range of Smok pod kits, including versions of the Smok Nord Pod kit and Smok RPM kit. A wide selection of coil builds are available to suit different vaping styles. This includes options to support MTL (Mouth To Lung) vaping as well as DTL (Direct To Lung) vaping. There is a standard version of the RPM80, but I opted for the Pro purely because I prefer external battery devices and this is the only real difference between the two. The standard RPM80 has an internal 3000mAh battery, while the Pro version requires the use of an external 18650 battery.
